ww.snowmobilehalloffame.com February 13: St. Germain, WI While not a race but rather a trail ride with many legendary racers both past and present, the Ride with the Champs event is part of a full day of activities that corresponds with the Hall of Fame inductions and dinner that evening. The day starts with a hearty breakfast at the Whitetail Inn and then it’s time to hit the trail. This year’s ride will feature seven different ride groups: two late model groups, four vintage groups and a bus ride. Every group will feature several snowmobile dignitaries and racing greats making for a fun and enjoyable day of riding and the sharing of racing stories. Space is limited so make plans to attend now. The Oconto County, Wisconsin based snowmobile club has put on the event more than any other organization, this year making it the sixth go-round. Classes fall into stock, mod, vintage, lake racer and outlaw categories, meaning you’ll see a wide range of snowmobiles built for straightline speed. Four 660-foot lanes set the stage for some of the best drag racing you’ll see in the state and the fact that it benefits a volunteer snowmobile club makes it that much better. Visit www.sno-jokers.com for more information. www.naytahwaushnightriders.com March 5 – 6: Naytahwaush, MN Some things get better with age, and the Naytahwaush Nightriders Snodeo is no exception. If you can’t find something fun here, you have only yourself to blame. The Dawn Kirsch Memorial Radar Run features go-fast sleds on a 1,000-foot track, there’s a vintage show and Old Timers Run, and new this year is the addition of USXC racing with the Naytahwaush 200.
