He was also top fundraiser in 2013 and 2014. 2016 Date: January 20-24 • • • Money Raised in 2015: $6,068 Top Fundraisers: Tom and Ruth McArthur raised $1,720 2016 Date: February 6-7 Mud Dog Ride to Rein in Sarcoma Snowmobilers who ride to the MnUSA Winter Rendezvous can choose to raise money for sarcoma cancers. In 2015, five riders rode from Orr to International Falls and raised funds. • Cause: Karen Wyckoff Sarcoma Foundation Rein in Sarcoma, for sarcoma cancer research and patient support • Money Raised in 2015: $4,350 • 2016 Date: Arrive in Hinckley on February 11 Naytauwash Night Riders Hospice Ride The Naytauwash Night Riders snowmobile club used cars this year instead of snowmobiles. It was the first time in 11 years that they couldn’t ride. Still, 32 people attended the event in Walker — and the 2016 ride will be to Walker again, hopefully on sleds. Since 2004, they have raised nearly $75,000. • Cause: Hospice of the Red River Valley Pink Ribbon Riders A two-day event with one day of riding — and fun events for non-riders — in Grand Rapids. A $500 check is given to a local breast cancer patient at the evening banquet. This was the 9th ride in Minnesota. • Cause: Provides direct financial assistance to Minnesota men and women with breast cancer. • Money Raised in 2015: $48,725 • 2016 Date: January TBA Yeti Tour The 2015 Yeti Tour had 40 riders and more than doubled its fundraising over 2014. It’s a one-day, self-guided 140mile ride starting in Duluth with a post-ride party.
