Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs Business/Office Manager Position Available, DeForest, Wisconsin

The Business/Officer Manager of this non-profit organization, dedicated to the preservation of snowmobiling throughout the State of Wisconsin, is the legislative voice for Wisconsin’s snowmobilers and snowmobile clubs, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office ensuring efficient and effective operations and coordinating all issues affecting the daily operations of the office.  The Business/Office Manager will work under the direction of the AWSC President and Executive Board to ensure the needs of the office and our members are met in a timely manner.

Demonstrated bookkeeping/accounting competence

Commitment to providing outstanding customer service

Strong communication skills (oral and written)

Ability to hire, supervise and direct office staff


Perform all bookkeeping functions using Sage (Peachtree)

Process income, expenses, bank deposits, credit cards transactions, payroll

Manage the office to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally and maintain professional image

Insure club membership rosters are updated as received, process snowmobile trail passes

Maintain and update website

Communicate pertinent information to County Directors and Representatives, write monthly article in Wisconsin Snowmobile News, provide reports at board meetings

Work with magazine editor – update mailing list, commercial sponsor list, director/rep list

Maintain office equipment including computers, fax, telephones, etc.

Maintain and replenish office supplies

Assist preparation of documents for Board meetings and other meetings

Secure locations for workshop and convention, handle registration and banquets

Keep office clean and tidy – organize supplies, file paperwork, etc.

Assist President and Executive Board with miscellaneous projects as requested


Knowledge of Peachtree, computers and software applications including Access, Excel, Word, Constant Contact, PowerPoint and Publisher

Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounting principles

2+ years experience in bookkeeping and office management or equivalent position with similar responsibilities described above preferred
