Polaris® Hillclimbers Continue Season-Long Domination by Winning 10 Pro Classes and All Pro King of the Hill Crowns at Jackson Hole

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (March 27, 2018) – Polaris® snowmobile hillclimbers continued their season-long domination by winning 10 Pro classes, all three Pro King of the Hill titles, and the King of Kings crown at the sport’s premiere event, the Jackson Hole [WY] World Championship Hillclimb, held March 22-25. 

All four of the prestigious King titles were won by riders on Polaris 800 AXYS® PRO-RMK® snowmobiles – and those Polaris 800 models beat the competition’s 850-powered sleds in the 900 and 1000 classes. 

Polaris Pro-class racers at Jackson Hole won all four Stock classes, three Modified and two Improved Stock classes. Polaris racers also won all three Semi-Pro classes, and the Semi-Pro King of the Hill title. Polaris Timbersled® racers won all snow bike races as well.

Local ATV and Snowmobile Clubs Provide Support for The Northern Oconto County Community Officer

Northern Oconto County ATV and Snowmobile Clubs who pledged support for the newly created Northern Oconto County Community Officer (NOCCO) provided checks totaling $1,800 to Oconto County.  The money will be used to purchase equipment necessary for the program.

Representatives from the towns of Breed, Brazeau, Doty, Townsend, Riverview and Mountain were present for the presentation.  Members of the ATV and Snowmobile Clubs represented the Crooked Trails ATV Club, the Oconto County Snowmobile Alliance, The Red Arrow Snowmobile Club, the Hidden Bear Trail ATV Club, the Dusty Trails ATV Club, the Oconto Falls Sno Jokers, the Lakewood Paul Bunyan Riders, the Chute Pond Snowmobile Club, the Lena Snow Drifters and the Iron Snow Shoe Snowmobile Club.

Deputy Ben Schindel, a lifelong resident of Oconto County was selected in January to serve as the NOCCO.  Deputy Schindel graduated with high honors from NWTC in 2009 with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement.  Deputy Schindel was a Police Officer with the Green Bay Police Department prior to fulfilling his ultimate goal of becoming a Deputy with the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office. 

Deputy Schindel’s goal is to build a relationship with the community members of the seven towns in order to create a safe environment, improve the quality of life, and to promote ATV, snowmobile, and boating safety by providing professional and compassionate law enforcement services.

Deputy Schindel is scheduled to begin his new duties April 1st.

Kamm Wins Two in Lake Geneva

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (March 21, 2018) – Polaris® snocross racer Kody Kamm (Hentges Racing) won two Pro finals and finished second in another during the ISOC National season’s final weekend to finish second in Pro points, two positions ahead of teammate Hentges Racing Peter Narsa. Kamm earned his fourth and fifth wins of the season during racing March 15-17 at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

PRESS RELEASE FROM CHRISTIAN BROTHERS RACING FINISHES SEASON ON TOP OF THE BOX

Fertile, MN (March 20, 2018) – The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, has been the culmination of the snocross season for two decades. Held on the slopes of Mountain Top at Grand Geneva, the race features one of the most challenging tracks on the schedule, with massive uphill and downhill runs. This year, the track ran in the opposite direction, forcing riders into more challenging right-handed turns, and the the Joker Lane introduced a wild card into the weekend’s racing. Lake Geneva is also where champions are crowned, and this past weekend one of those champions was flying the colors of Christian Brothers Racing.
