2014 Antique Snowmobile Club of America/Pequot Lakes Antique Snowmobile Rendezvous

Pequot Lakes, Minnesota – The Pequot Brush Pilots would like to welcome new and old sled enthusiasts to the 20th Annual Antique Snowmobile Rendezvous in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota on January 17-19, 2014. This event will run in conjunction with the Antique Snowmobile Club of America Winter Convention and Rally, which is held in different locations in the snow belt annually.

Traditionally this has been an event of which entire city of Pequot Lakes has been very supportive. Friendly people, trail rides, swap meet, antique and vintage show, and antique sled races. Antique sleds (1966 and older) line up to race in a series of Lemans, oval, reverse oval (for machines that have reverse), drag races and obstacle course races – and always a helping hand to get that old iron running! In addition, we have a vintage snowmobile style show for people to show off their old snowmobile suits, which is always a popular event before the awards banquet.

Our guest speakers over the years have included the late journalist C.J Ramstad; Polaris co-founder and Arctic Cat founder Edgar Hetteen; explorer to the North Pole Ralph Plaisted; and others that are still with us on the snow Walt Pedersen from the Plaisted Expedition; Elmer Cone , founder of the International Snowmobile Hall of Fame; Richard Harrison, co-founder of the Scorpion Trail a Sled company; Lee Busse and Scott Eielertson from the “Minnesota to Moscow” trip; and co-founder of Polaris David Johnson to name a few. This year’s guest speaker will be Bob Krawchuk from Winnipeg Canada, a historian on the Bosak Power Toboggan which his grandfather Mike Bosak created. He will be sharing information and literature and will be bringing some of his Bosak machines to drive and display. Many enthusiasts that have a Bosak machine will be joining us for the weekend from as far as Ohio and Quebec.
